Is it really free to download all of your music?
YES!
BFW recordings is among a growing crop of netlabels - independent, internet-based music labels - who share a wide selection of music (good and bad) from all over the world for free! Due mainly to the nonsensical way that many record companies are run, most musicians will never get the chance to release their music any other way.
Although we release all our music for free, a lot of time and effort (and some money) goes into keeping this website going. So if you download any of our music, please think about donating some money to BFW recordings.

How do I download your music?
On each release's web page, you have a choice of how to download:
You can download individual songs and artworks by right-clicking 'download' beside your chosen item and clicking 'Save Link As...' (the exact wording varies from browser to browser), and save the item in any chosen folder on your computer.
On most pages on the website, there are 'download' buttons. Simply click the button to download the whole release - music, artwork and everything!
It will come to you in a zip file. If you are unfamiliar with these, do not despair! You will more than likely already have a piece of software such as WinRAR or WinZip on your computer to open this. If you do not, we recommend trying Peazip - it is free and will do the job just fine. When you open the zip file, you will end up with a folder with all the music and artwork from your chosen release.

Why is you music player a pop-up?
Unwanted pop-ups can be very annoying.
We use a pop-up window for our music player so you can browse through the BFW website without the music restarting ever time you go to a new page.
If you are having problems with this, check your browser is set to allow pop-ups from BFW recordings. We will not use pop-ups for anything other than the music player.

I am an aspiring musician - will you release my music?
Maybe.
If you think we would be interested in releasing your music, please feel free to send us your demo, but please read our demo policy first.
There are many other netlabels out there. If we don't release your music, if it's any good, chances are someone else will. Google 'netlabel' and see what you can find.

You say 'Please Share This Music' - can I really share your music with my friends?
YES!
Feel free to share our music - burn it onto CDs, make copies for your friends, put it on your blog - just don't take the piss!
Don't try to sell our music. Always give the musicians credit when you share this music.
If you want to sample any of our music, or use it in any way commercially, please get in touch with us first (bfwrecordings@gmail.com) or contact the artist whose music you wish to use.
